American rock band Good Charlotte have had a lengthy career spanning just under two decades, even releasing a greatest hits album back in 2010 – however, after a four year hiatus, the band are set to release a long awaited sixth album on July 15th this year.
This news comes several months after the release of comeback single Makeshift Love in November 2015, which the band followed up by touring with All Time Low as support on the UK leg of their Future Hearts tour earlier this year. With this in mind, it seems that their upcoming album will mark the beginning of a new era for Good Charlotte – and a tour to promote the album is likely to be on the cards, too.
The announcement was made via a short video teaser on Apple Music which was posted by the band on Twitter earlier today – see below:

The two minute video takes a reflective look back at the band’s career, commemorating their highs and lows and ultimately creating some well justified suspense for their upcoming album – which is yet to have a confirmed title, although we do know that it will feature guest vocals from Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil and Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens.
Good Charlotte’s comeback could see them rise to the heights they saw back in the early 2000s, meaning that long term fans of the band will have high expectations – however with new material mere months away, it’s safe to say that the hiatus is definitely over and we can expect to see far more from Good Charlotte in the near future.
