Post-punk band The Psychedelic Fur will hit the live stage this September with their rescheduled ‘Made Of Rain‘ Tour.
The live shows will mark a year since the release of their last album “Made Of Rain” which peaked within the Top 20 in UK Charts and is their highest-charting release ever. The album also reached a variety of ‘Best Albums of 2020‘ in Mojo, Uncut, Classic Pop and Vive Le Rock.

The latest release from the alt-rock legends “continue to create seamless soundscapes, with tremendous swooning melodies and their trademark aggression“. “‘Made of Rain’ is unbroken, dignified and hearty, like a nicely aged whiskey. Its uniform sound has its peaks and depths but illustrates their originality and untamed creativity”. See the full mxdwn review here.
The album has been released after 30 years of silence, the “World Outside” came out in 1991. In the meantime, the band continued performing and “playing acclaimed shows at The Hollywood Bowl, All Points East, Hyde Park and Benicàssim, plus a celebrated run of UK shows including headlining Robert Smith’s Meltdown at the Royal Festival Hall. Most recently, the band performed a sell-out tour of the UK and Europe which culminated in a triumphant show at the Roundhouse in London“.
The latest release has been produced by Richard Fortus and the mixing was done by Tim Palmer who worked with David Bowie, U2 and Robert Plant. The “Made Of Rain” album can be streamed via various music platforms and purchased on Vinyl or CD here.
The band will play seven shows across the UK, throughout September and October including their highly anticipated debut at The Royal Albert Hall on 3rd October.
