The multinational heavy rock band Lucifer has released the first single from their forthcoming new album “Wild Hearses“.
The band’s latest album from last year, “Lucifer III” has been critically acclaimed and since the release, they’ve been working on new music. Their sound is influenced by 70’s Hard Rock like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf and more melodic retro sounds like Fleetwood Mac. Kerrang in their review said: “there is a wealth of style, some great songs, and pure rock DNA“. The Loudersound called the album “a retro romp that unites the band’s light heart and dark soul“.
The band, formed of five members: a vocalist Johanna Platow Andersson,
Nicke Andersson Platow on drums, guitarists Linus Björklund and Martin Nordin and Harald Göthblad on bass has formed in Berlin in 2014. In 2015 they have released their “Lucifer I” album via Rise Above Records, which rose them to fame.
The first single from the new album “Wild Hearses” represents what’s to come this Autumn. “The group is ringing in a new chapter and dive even further into the grande realms of colossal old fashioned rock, with a severe morbid twist and certain doom” shared press release.
“LUCIFER invites you to take a wild ride in their 1972 Cadillac hearse past tombs and churches, down the very roads taken by Black Sabbath, Pentagram and Fleetwood Mac before them. Like the Pacific Coast Highway this road isn’t new. It’s timeless and it’s fucking beautiful“. Listen to the new track below.
