Wolf Alice rocked up as winners in two categories at the NME Awards 2016 with Austin, Texas for Best Live Band and for ‘Giant Peach’ as Best Track.
Collecting the award for Best Track, Theo Ellis (bass) said, “. . . it’s too early. We’re not drunk enough to accept an award yet.” The north-London four-piece were nominated for a further five awards.
Later on, accepting Best Live Band, Ellis continued: “OK so we are now drunk enough to talk. You have no idea what this means. We grew up with the NME. Thanks a lot.” Read more at:

Originally formed as a two-piece back in 2010, Wolf Alice released their debut album My Love is Cool in February 2015 and in the USA in June 2015 and now award nominations are rolling in.
Wolf Alice will continue looking for success in this year’s Brit Awards, nominated for Best British Breakthrough Act alongside James Bay, Years & Years, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Jess Glynne.
