Leigh-Anne Pinnock of girl band Little Mix has revealed that she is pregnant with her first child. The 29-year-old singer shared the news with fans on social media along with a photoshoot showing her baby bump. The photoshoot also features Pinnock’s fiancé Andre Gray, a footballer for Watford FC.
Pinnock added: “We’ve dreamed about this moment for so long and we can’t believe the dream is finally coming true… we can’t wait to meet you.” Pinnock and Gray announced their engagement in May 2020. Calling Gray her soulmate, the star commented that her “world is complete” after getting engaged to “the man of my flipping dreams”. The couple met in Marbella in 2016.
Pinnock’s fellow bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards were quick to respond to the news and show their support. Edwards wrote, “I can’t stop staring at these pictures. You’re a vision. Ily (I love you) both so much! CONGRATULATIONS my beautiful sister!”. Thirlwall added “Look at this family.” The band later revealed that they had all been wearing baggy clothes in solidarity with Leigh-Anne while she was hiding her pregnancy.
Little Mix most recently released their first music video without former bandmate Jesy Nelson. The video for ‘Confetti’ features the band members transformed as their male alter-egos. Pinnock is seen leading the group in a high energy dance routine despite her pregnancy. In addition, the video also includes stars from Ru Pauls Drag Race UK Season 2 including Bimini Bon Boulash, Tayce and A’Whora.
Pinnock will appear in her first acting role in new film ‘Boxing Day’, which will be released this Christmas. The singer also stars in a new BBC documentary titled “Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop & Power.” Little Mix is scheduled tour starting in April 2022.
