Tonight, Toolroom records are hosting a five-hour virtual live-streamed festival for those unable to attend their upcoming event in London. The virtual festival will still feature both Mark Knight and Maxine and they will be joined by legendary Chicago DJ Gene Farris. Toolroom records’, Mark Knight, is due to release his debut album, ‘Untold Business,’ later this year. Yesterday he shared the first single from his upcoming album, ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,’ with Beverly Knight. Speaking on the release of the track, he said: “I feel that musicians and producers have a responsibility to provide the soundtrack to people’s lives, and with this glimmer of hope on the horizon, I wanted this song to be a moment of positivity for the future ahead.”
The label has hosted several live-stream virtual events since 2020 in an effort to keep people partying. They have also hosted a series of virtual workshops to develop new talent and help people learn the art of DJ’ing. Last month they linked up with Beatport to host a DJ master class as part of their Toolroom Academy. Toolroom Academy “exists to offer new artists the best quality education in House, Tech House and Techno.”
