Elton John will be working with The Killers on their forthcoming album, he has revealed in promotional clip for Shazam.
In the clip John talks about his new album, Wonderful Crazy Night, saying that he was “inspired by the fact I want to make a joyous record”, and continued by saying “the next album might be really all miserable songs, I love writing miserable songs, it’s great. But this one I wanted to be happy because I feel happy, I’m in a really great place in my life.”
Towards the end of the interview John revealed his collaboration with The Killers, saying “I’m hoping to go to Vegas and write with Brandon [Flowers] for the new Killers record, so that will be interesting.” The Killers frontman is a big Elton John fan, and was interviewed by the ‘Tiny Dancer’ singer on his Beats radio show. Talking about the upcoming Killers album, Flowers recently told NME “I think if we can just get on the same page and really apply what we’ve learnt from over a 1000 shows now and playing clubs and stadiums and all of that and really apply what we’ve learnt over the years that’s what I’m excited about.” He added “We never really set out to do anything, you just sort of wait for lightning to strike. That’s the best way, but it’s elusive, ol’ lightning.”
