Pop sensation Anne-Marie, DJ and producer Nathan Dawe and rapper MoStack have teamed up to release a new single and music video for the feel-good track ‘Way Too Long’ in time for the summer. It is the first time that the three artists have worked together to release a powerful collaborative song, with each one showcasing their talents and vocals.
The video features colourful visuals, from the trio driving through the countryside to having dinner with friends in a mansion. It ends with all of them partying together at the end with drinks. The lyrics reminisce and look forward to the summer at the same time, when Anne-Marie sings: “Then suddenly you’re nothing but a song/ Summer in the back of your car/ Singin’, drink in the dark”.
This is the first single this year for Nathan Dawe and the second for Anne-Marie, who released ‘Don’t Play’ with KSI and Digital Farm Animals back in January. This is also the second collaboration this year for MoStack, who featured in Chip’s mixtape ‘Snakes & Ladders’ for the track ‘100K’.
Earlier today, Irish singer Niall Horan has tweeted a photo of him and Anne-Marie driving with the caption: “It’s happening”, so fans can expect to see more bangers from Anne-Marie, this time with the former One Direction member. This collaboration has been teased since the end of the last year, when Anne-Marie told Capital Breakfast that she has already written three songs with Horan: “We’ve been interacting a bit, since I pronounced his second name wrong [on the Official Big Top 40]… We’ve been speaking, and we were like ‘Let’s just get in and see what happens’. We got in and it was so good; he’s so talented. He was playing guitar, and we wrote, maybe, three songs.”
‘Way Too Long’ is out now on all platforms and you can check out the official music video below.
