Among those nominated female artists have been particularly spotlighted with nominees including Arlo Parks, Celeste, Jessie Ware, and Dua Lipa. UK rap also has a strong presence among the nominations. AJ Tracey, Headie One and J Hus have received two nominations each while newcomers Young T & Bugsey have also received multiple nominations.

Jack Whitehall will once again host with the event broadcast on ITV from the O2 Arena on Tuesday 11 May. Dua Lipa and Griff are the first artists to be announced to perform at the event with others yet to be confirmed.
