UK Artists had high hopes with all the nominations they received at last night’s 63rd Grammys. However, three main categories this year , went to US artists: Billie Eilish has won Record of the year for ‘Everything I Wanted’ and H.E.R’s ‘I Can’t Breathe’ was named Song Of The Year. Taylor Swift has won Album of the year for ‘Folklore’, and on top of that she became the first female artist to win in that category three years in a row.
There were several UK acts nominated for 63rd Grammy Awards: Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Michael Kiwanuka and Coldplay to name a few. The ex-One Direction signer led the British winners this year. He was nominated in three categories: Music video for ‘Adore You’, Pop Vocal Album for ‘Fine Line’ and Pop Solo Performance. He has won the trophy for last category for ‘Watermelon Sugar’, beating out strong competition including Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.

Dua Lipa was the biggest hope for the UK, nominated in six categories including the main ones: Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record Of The Year for ‘Don’t Start Now’. Instead, She won Best Pop Vocal Album for her ‘Future Nostalgia’ global success, which already reached Platinum. She Tweeted: “Best Pop Vocal Album for Future Nostalgia!!!!! Jazz musician Jacob Collier, who is only 26, has won Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for ‘He Won’t Hold You’ which made him “the first UK artist to win a Grammy award for each of his first four albums. It is a feat unequalled by any of our all-time great British superstars beloved all around the world, such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Elton John, Coldplay and Adele”. This young multitalented artist has been called by The Times “the modern-day Mozart” and “the most successful musician you have never heard of”.
