Arlo Parks has announced three extra tour dates for her UK and European tour to support her recently released debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams. The three dates will take place in November starting with the SWX in Bristol on November 1st, then Arlo will play her biggest headline show so far at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on the 4th. She will finish off these shows at the Academy 2 in Manchester on the 9th.
She took to her social media to announce the news saying; “Heyo angels – I’m playing 3 more shows in London, Manchester and Bristol this November, including Shepherd’s Bush Empire!! It’s the biggest venue I’ve ever played and it’s where I saw my first gig ever – I’M SO EXCITED!”
This news comes just days after Arlo appeared on Jimmy Kimmel to perform her newest single Hurt, following the release of her debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams on the 29th of January. Speaking about the meaning behind Hurt, Arlo said; “The song surrounds isolation, being present in your pain and knowing that you’re not the only one on the planet feeling low, I think especially in times like these it’s important to focus on the inevitability that things will get better.”
Arlo also recently released the deluxe edition of her debut album, which features recordings from her “lo fi lounge.” The songs were originally broadcasted on On Air and No Merci, the streaming platforms in October. All profits from the deluxe edition will be donated to the Music Venue Trust’s #SaveOurVenues fund.
Presale tickets for the new gigs go on sale on Wednesday, anyone who had bought the album or the deluxe edition of the album through this link will have access to the presale. The new tour dates are below.
