Katy B has shared the first song, a collaboration with Four Tet and Floating Points called ‘Calm Down’, from her upcoming project Honey.
Honey will see the singer collaborate with a “number of exciting artists and producers”, with ‘Calm Down’ being a taster of the calibre of artists we can possibly expect from the upcoming album. The Four Tet x Floating Points produced track certainly makes a bold statement, with a wonky bassline, sporadic percussion and terse strings, while Katy’s vocals create an air of mystique. Honey is due sometime in 2016, although no precise date has been set yet, and is a follow up to her 2014 album Little Red. Katy has also announced her biggest London show to date at Brixton academy on 14th May 2016, with tickets going on sale on 16th December.
