We are now in prime festival announcement season! With most of the biggest and best festivals taking place in the summer, festivals and bands often take to social media around now to announce headlining and supporting acts. Today has seen one of the worlds biggest bands announcing themselves as headliners for two of Europe’s biggest festivals.
It has been a long wait for fans eager to see Red Hot Chili Peppers perform at Reading and Leeds, having last played there nine years ago! A whole new generation of Chili fans will be able to see them live this time round.
The headlining announcement was announced on both the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s social media and through the official Reading and Leeds website.

Reading and Leeds are world renowned for being phenomenal festivals offering up a chance to see a wide range of different bands and different genres, so far the 2016 version of the festivals seems to promise more of the same!

The festivals are set to take place in late August of 2016, from the 26th – 28th.
Reading and Leeds festival organiser Melvin Benn had this to say on Red Hot Chili Peppers appearance:
“Their incredible live show will be an unforgettable headline performance at the UK’s biggest music festival,” he said. “We’ve still got some really exciting names to announce and I can’t wait to reveal the rest of the line up. It’s going to be our best year yet.”
