There has been a lot of discussion about Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro’s new upcoming album, in fact we previously did an article covering it, see here.
However since then Biffy have spoken a bit more about what we can expect when their album is released at some point in 2016. Lead singer and front man Simon Neil whens speaking to DIY magazine had this to say on the matter:
“My main aim of this record is that I want to make a record that sounds like Deafheaven meets Tears For Fears meets Death Grips,” he says. “I don’t know if we’ll get anywhere near it, but that’s the three touchstones of songwriting and sonic architecture that I want us to try and go for.”
“I truly believe that we’re doing something on this record that we haven’t ever tried to do before. We’re really trying to fuck with the sound of what we do, and we’re not trying to do it as a live band in a room.”
Unfortunately we have not heard any more details about potential dates or track names, but hopefully more information will flood in the new year. Biffy however have announced two concert dates, both in Scandinavia. Playing at Finland’s Provinssi Festival (details can be found here) and Sweden’s Bravalla Festival (again details can be found here) :
We're delighted to announce Biffy will play Sweden's @bravalla festival in 2016. Details @ https://t.co/zkjcK1TEAj pic.twitter.com/syLntH18Y5
