After rescheduling his tour back in March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, Harry Styles has now announced that is is postponed indefinitely as the future is still uncertain. The news came today via the singer’s Twitter page, following yesterday’s revelation that London will be going into tier 3 – the highest level on the scale used to describe the number of Covid-19 cases in the UK.
Styles wrote a message to explain the development, which read, “Everyone’s health and safety remains our top priority, which is why I unfortunately have to postpone my UK and European shows planned for Feb/March 2021 until further notice.” He continued, “I really hope to play these shows and will have news for you in the new year on when they will take place. I can’t wait to see you all on the road as soon as it’s safe to do so. Treat people with kindness.”

The tour was planned for Styles to perform his ‘Fine Line’ album, released in December 2019. Despite not being able to tour, Styles did play a few shows in America in early 2020, including one at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York in collaboration with SiriusXM.
Recently, the album was nominated for an award at the 2021 Grammys: Best Pop Vocal Album. Meanwhile, his single ‘Watermelon Sugar’ is a contender for Best Pop Solo Performance, and ‘Adore You’ is nominated for Best Music Video. Upon the announcement, mxdwn UK wrote, “These are the singer’s first Grammy nominations, and he is now the first member of One Direction to receive this type of recognition.”
