A new Craig David album and Busted touring again; what year is it, 2003?!
Early 2000s English pop-rock band Busted have today announced an imminent reunion; including a new tour for 2016 and new material.
This comes as a definite shock as when Busted broke up in 2006 following member Charlie Simpson quitting the band. Simpson was less than complimentary about his time with the band; regarding it as torture:
“A lot of my friends said the same thing: you looked as if you would rather have been anywhere else but where you were. Every day at work, I was in a fucked-up situation. I was in a music career, which was amazing, and I hated it because it wasn’t fulfilling me in any sense of the word. I kept thinking, imagine if this was a band I really liked, I’d be loving it. It was like torture. I had to put on this front of being . . .”
Busted took to twitter to announce their comeback tour:

All three members have had relatively successful careers following their teen days in Busted. Charlie Simpson has had a career being lead singer of rock band Fightstar and has enjoyed numerous tours and four albums. Matt Willis has enjoyed work in acting as well as being part of the supergroup McBusted (combination of McFly and Busted) which Busted member James Bourne was also part of.
During the press conference earlier today, Charlie Simpson had this to say on his comeback:
“I’ve lost count of the number of times where I’ve said publicly I wouldn’t do this again. But I have changed my mind.”
“We went to Philadelphia, we wrote new music and that changed everything. I was very ready to go to Philadelphia and come away thinking ‘it just doesn’t feel right’.
“The fact that it did feel right is just as much of a shock to me as it is to anyone sitting in this room today.”
