Bird keeper and former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher appeared on Soccer AM on Saturday (26th October) to promote his recently announced 2016 arena tour. During the interview, co-host John ‘Fenners’ Fendle asked Gallagher if he had “any idea what’s going on with the Roses”. After a long pause (presumably calculating the PR consequences of his reply) Gallagher replied “Yes. I know exactly what’s going on… They’re blooming.”
Gallagher is well known as long term friend – and fan – of The Stone Roses, so it’s unsurprising that he knows what’s going on in the Roses’ camp. You can watch the full interview below:
The Stone Roses reformed in 2011 after a 15 year breakup, since then they have toured all over the world, proving a hot booking for festivals, although the band have been somewhat inactive for the last two years.
During this time rumors of a a follow up to 1994’s divisive ‘Second Coming’ have been floating about, with the band not yet confirming anything. The last we heard from frontman Ian Brown on the matter he was talking to NME and only replied with the cryptic “Is something happening? You never know, but I’m not here to talk about that.”
More open about his next album Noel Gallagher stated that his next album wont be finished until after his tour ends in April 2016. The Full list of dates can be found below:
