The final line-up for the annual Liverpool Music Week has been announced and it’s looking unmissable! The 11th edition of the merseyside festival will be taking place over the course of just over a week in just a few short days from the 23rd October till the 31st October.
All tickets for the festival will be available via the Liverpool Music Week website here; within the site you will be able to purchase a wide range of tickets, from a full week wristband to just an evening ticket. Either way it looks to be a festival worth going to!
Now on to the exciting bit, the musicians who will be performing! From a festival that has previously had the likes of The Kaiser Chiefs, Florence + the Machine, Vampire Weekend, CHVRCHES and many more, comes an equally appealing line-up for 2015.
Headlining the festival will be the likes of singer-songwriter Richard Hawley, instrumental post-rock band Godspeed! You Black Emperor, indie rock band Deerhunter and many more. See the full list of performers below in the tweet from Liverpool Music Week’s twitter:

The uniqueness of The Liverpool Music Week is that it’s almost entirely an indoor festival spread throughout the entire city. Whereas most festivals pride themselves on being outside and playing to the vast masses (ie Glastonbury, Burning Man etc.) The Liverpool Music Week is more an exploration of the city of Liverpool’s culture as well as music. The festival is also well known for giving opportunities to more local bands as well, allowing them a chance to perform for audiences perhaps considerably larger than what they are used to.
Getting a ticket for the entire festival will not just allow yourself to listen to a wide variety of music but also allow you to listen to that music in a wide range of venues spread throughout the city. You will be able to see Liverpool for what it is, especially unique for people travelling from abroad to visit the festival.
The festival will also be offering a free event on the last night of the week (31st October) meaning that even if you don’t have a ticket or haven’t been to any of the rest of the festival you will still have an opportunity to go and see some live music.
Tickets will not last long, so if you’re interested in going I would get booking!
