Skindred were supposed to play a big London show at the Roundhouse this November but due to government restrictions the event got rescheduled for 2 October 2021 and is now part of the “Show Time Tour”. The band confirmed through their official Twitter channel that all tickets already purchased will be valid for next year.
Earlier this year Skindred launched a selection of band T-shirts and merch with sales going towards the NHS as a sign of support. The band confirmed they have managed to raise over £10,000 so far with funds being transfered to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport, Wales, and the University College London Hospital. Anyone still willing to purchase the t-shirt and contribute towarda the cause can do so through their online store.

Skindred were formed in Newport, Wales in 1998 and immediately became widely recognised for their infectious energy and live performances. Capturing the popular at the time nu metal wave and culture, the band incorporated their signature reggae sound and fused it with elements of alternative rock, hip-hop and funk which made them a relevant act among the endless list of acts from the movement that slowly faded away.
In 2018 Skindred dropped their seventh studio album Big Things via Napalm Records which peaked at #1 at the UK Metal Albums chart and earned them their highest ever official chart performance. The band has been fairly quiet since with only singer Benji Webbe appearing on other projects, more recently making a surprising cameo in Corey Taylor’s debut single ‘CMFT Must be Stopped‘.
