Today, Vistas fans have been treated to the news that the indie-rock band are releasing a limited edition vinyl containing all of the music they wrote before their debut album. The record has 13 remastered tracks which will be signed by the band.
Ten of the tracks have been previously released, including the popular singles ‘Calm’, ‘Fade’ and ‘Eighteen’. But, there will also be three unreleased songs which fans are buzzing about – some have heard them played live in the past, while for others they will be entirely new. These are titled ‘Small Towns’, ‘Hot Love’ and ‘Americana’.
The record’s title is, of course, named after Vistas’ debut album ‘Everything Changes in the End’, which was shared earlier this year. The band talked through the album track by track, describing the title song as a song “about being there for your friends and realising that stuff might not be great at the moment, but hopefully in time will work itself out. Essentially it’s the message that we wanted to put throughout the whole record, so that’s why it’s the opening and title-track.”
Most recently, on 25th August, Vistas put out a new single ‘Stranger’, which has already gained over 4,000 streams on YouTube. To premiere the song, frontman Prentice Robertson ran an Instagram live-stream in which he played some acoustic songs and answered questions. His fellow members are Dylan Rush (guitar) and Jamie Law (bass).
The band formed at school in Scotland before releasing their debut single ‘Calm’ in 2018. Since then, their fanbase has been steadily growing with each new release, and their album reached number 2 on the Scottish Albums Chart, and number 21 on the UK Albums Chart. Vistas will be embarking on a 2021 tour which was rescheduled from this year.
