English alt-rock band Lonely The Brave have announced today their third album ‘The Hope List’, coming out 22nd January 2021 via Easy Life Records. Along with this revelation, fans are treated to the third single this year, ‘Open Door’.
Available for pre-order now, lots of exciting things are happening for the five-piece. Founding member and lead guitarist Mark Trotter said in a press release; “Everything feels very positive in the Lonely The Brave camp.”
The musician describes the album as having a sense of optimism, saying “We’ve been a band for over 10 years and stuck in our ways a lot. There has been a huge shift in dynamic now. It’s a completely different vibe from where we were before. There’s a renewed energy and a renewed focus.”
Currently, fans can only form their opinion based on the tracks which have so far been released – these are ‘Open Door’, ‘Distant Light’, and lead single ‘Bound’. Having gained 48,000 views on YouTube, ‘Bound’ is a song with driven verses and a soaring chorus, delivered beautifully by lead singer Jack Bennet and supported by his fellow band members Ross Smithwick (rhythm guitar), Andrew Bushen (bass), and Gavin Edgeley (drums).
Formed in 2008, Lonely The Brave takes inspiration from a number of their favourite bands to create their incredible sound, described in a press release as “emotional, widescreen rock”. Their loyal fanbase has supported them throughout successes and difficulties, such as when members departed from the band.
Lonely The Brave have also revealed a run of UK tour dates for 2021 including a show in their hometown of Cambridge. Tickets are available now and the full dates can be found below.
