Deer Shed Festival has confirmed its eleven edition, which will be held for three days from July 30 to August 1. It also revealed its exciting line-up that features James, Stereolab, Baxter Dury. Tickets are on sale now via its official site.
After being forced to take a pause this year due to the horrific outbreak of coronavirus, the North Yorkshire festival has promised its return to give exuberance to all festival goers in 2021. The organisers have now unveiled the rescheduled dates, which will take place on July 30 – August 1 at the site of Topcliffe village.
Accompanying the announcement of new dates, the festival also shared the names of wide-ranging artists who will perform. Leading the bill, Manchester rock band James will make a comeback there. According to Harrogate Informer, festival director Oliver Jones expressed supreme excitement for booking the “Sit Down” hitmaker to play, which reads:
“There’s no doubt james are one of the biggest bands we’ve ever booked for deer shed. Their back catalogue is astonishing, with track after track of excellent guitar anthems, and their most recent album confirmed that they are still at the absolute top of their game. I’m not sure we’ve ever had a band that can pack out leeds first direct arena before!”
He continued, “Curating a line-up of artists that we personally love every year is always a source of much pride for our team, and James now sit on top of what we think is both the best and most star-studded music bill we’ve ever put together.”
What’s more intriguing: Slowdrive’s Rachel Goswell and her husband Steve Clarke will bring their brand-new project The Soft Cavalry to the Lodge Stage on Saturday. Meanwhile, other indie icons like Dowdelin, Marthagunn, and Low Hummer will rock out on the In the Dock Stage.
Importantly, critic-beloved punk band Dream Wife appears in the bill. They will definitely slay the stage with songs from their second album ‘So When You Gonna…‘.
Deer Shed Festival started by the hands of couple Oliver Jones and Kate Webster, who intended to host a family-friendly festival. The first edition was held back in 2010 with 1,000 attendees in a one-day line-up, but now Deer Shed has been increasingly successful, expanding into a three-day festival that accommodates about 10,000 goers.
The festival also wholeheartedly welcomes camping enthusiasts and live-in vehicles, together with other highlights such as comedy shows, DJ sets, live podcasts, and many more. Visit here for more information and ticket purchase.
