Synth pop singer Georgia has been touring the world with her music over the last year, and has now announced that she’ll be going back on the road as soon possible. The ‘Re-Seeking Thrills Tour’ will run in the UK and Europe throughout spring 2021. It is, of course, named after her 2020 tour and based on the album ‘Seeking Thrills’, released back in January.
Georgia shared a post today which jokingly revealed the upcoming shows, saying, “Can’t believe I’m saying this but… Back on the road for 2021. It’s gonna be FUN.” Fans are overjoyed at the news, especially after all live gigs have been cancelled for everyone’s safety due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The artist continued, “I’m in serious need for some dance floor connections. Who’s coming?”
Tickets will go on sale on Friday 10th July via Songkick, and the tour will have performances in Cardiff, London, Brighton, and more.
‘Seeking Thrills’ has been described by Georgia’s record label, Domino Records, as “a record that blossoms into life, animated by Chicago House piano lines, vintage drum machines, and Georgia’s bespoke street sass.” It has been incredibly popular with fans, gaining millions of streams. After its release, the singer was lucky enough to take the album on tour, finishing the run just a few days before the UK government suggested that people should self-isolate to slow the spread of coronavirus.
Georgia, full name Georgia Barnes, is a singer, songwriter, producer, and musician. Her career began in 2015 with the release of her self-titled debut album, while her sophomore record was released in 2020. She has performed for BBC Music Introducing and Glastonbury 2019.
