Recently he has hit fame with a leading role in HBO’s hit drama ‘Game of Thrones’, but Ritchie has made his way back from the world of Westeros and found his way back into the studio to make new music. This is now his third single from his forthcoming album ‘Andy’.
The new single takes on his RnB genre and runs with it with tremendous success. It is an uplifting song with lyrics that proclaim the wonder of being yourself in the world that may not want you to be. The song debuted last night on The Late Late Show With James Corden with Ritchie performing the songs over a Zoom call with his backing band and the Wired Strings Quartet.
With ‘Andy’ being released this Friday, it marks the end of a four year wait from his fans for a full-length project from the London RnB artist. His first album was well received all round and made waves in the English scene which saw him nominated for Best Newcomer off the back of the album. He also demonstrated his pulling power soliciting features from grime superstar Stormzy and American hip hop outfit The Internet.
His new single was produced by longtime collaborator Chris Loco who produced his debut album and has been a mainstay in the UK music charts for years now with his production credentials spanning from Little Mix to Wiley. So far, the single has been met with praise from fans with one fan commenting “This is my favourite one you’ve released from this album so far! Really looking forward to listening to the album on Friday.”

Recently he has been more known for is his work as an actor obviously in Game of Thrones but he has also been seen in Broadchurch, Episodes and Silent Witness. But hopefully the news that a new album is on the way signifies that Ritchie, real name Jacob Anderson, is spending more time on his musical career. This is something that will be met with open arms as in 2016 he proved his musical chops and proved his potential. It seems he does have something to prove as people will now know him only for his acting rather than being a proficient music artist.
