This is due to be Skinners’ first full length release since 2011 and has been highly anticipated by his die hard fans for years. So far, he has released one single from it and one non-album single which have both been received very well. The second single was released as an A side to the first and features just Skinner on the vocals and handling the production, something he has been used to doing throughout his career.
The first of those singles featured Tame Impala which was a pleasant surprise to fans as this was a collaboration they did not expect to see. This was announced on The Streets Instagram a few weeks back. The singles are called ‘Call my phone thinking I’m doing nothing better‘ and ‘Where the f*$ck did April go?‘

The new mixtape looks to be a comeback for The Streets as last year he announced that he is going to release an album and a film in tandem. Fans will feel this is well overdue as they have waited so long for Skinner to release anything under The Streets moniker.
Having been away for so long the return of The Streets seems that bit sweeter now. People have grown up listening to them and they have been the soundtrack to so many people’s lives. This makes them one of the most important acts in English rap and garage history and he helped shape the scene for English artists today.
