The Salford born singer most famous for his work with the britpop band The Charlatans has released his latest solo effort ‘I Love The New Sky’. This marks his fourth album as a solo artist.
After being released this week, the album has already received rave reviews from critics which tells us to expect no signs of slowing down from the 52-year-old veteran. His new album comes just two years after his third release ‘As I Was Now’.
His main project The Charlatans have also only just released an album in 2017, which was the very well received ‘Different Days’. So this also marks a productive streak in Burgess’ career.
They also played a high profile slot at last year’s Glastonbury. Watch part of their performance below;
During the lockdown, Burgess has kept his fans happy by conducting his ‘TimsTwitterListeningParty’. This is where he picks an album and live tweets it as he goes along to his followers who join in. So far he has done such albums like ‘Why me, Why Not‘ and ‘Foolish Loving Spaces‘ among others.

This is one he did today.
Again this is a case in an artist being able to make the lockdown situation work for them. As I’m sure he would have rather been able to perform to live audiences, he has managed to find a way round it by finding a way to make it more inclusive for his audience.
Other artists should look at Tim and take a leaf out of his book and find a way to make the situation work for them. As seeing their favourite artist doing something to help others at least on Twitter will no doubt do a lot for people.
