Lockdown is getting boring for all of us, even for celebrities like Liam Payne. The former One Direction member has found a new way to kill time during quarantine: Vlogging. He recently started a Youtube series called #StayHome and Chill #WithMe which he updates once a week to give his fans insight on how quarantine is going for him. The episodes get uploaded every Sunday, and in the second episode, which got launched yesterday, he informed us about his cooking abilities, which managed to impress Gordon Ramsey, Disney and quarantine ghosts.
In the beginning of the video he recaps the reactions to the first episode, such as Rita Ora laughing at him, as well as admitting that sitting all alone in his house talking to himself in front of a camera feels sort of strange. The singer then goes on to educate himself about Disney characters, after thousands of fans, and even his own sister, were surprised to find out that Liam doesn’t know Tangled’s Flynn Rider.
Payne then continues to talk about taking pictures even if he doesn’t feel like it, watching funny videos sent by fans, and experiencing creepy situations in his house that might’ve involved ghosts. “I’ve experienced a bunch of weird stuff within this house” he says. “I was in bed the other night and there was a bang and I tried to do like the whole ghost adventures recording thing, I’m sat in my room going ‘is anyone there, did you just made that knock?’ and then the wardrobe light in my room came on, and the door of the wardrobe was closed so something had to move. It was a freaky moment for sure.”
He also revealed that he learned some Swedish during lockdown and listened to fans singing his new collab with Alesso, called Midnight, before he takes us on a tutorial to cook scrambled eggs. The reason he chose this specific dish? “I heard that Gordon Ramsey tests his chefs by how well they make scrambled eggs”, Liam tells the camera. And it seems like the singer would make an excellent Gordon Ramsey chef himself, seeing as Britain’s most famous chef approved of Liam’s cooking skills.
