Today, pop singer Jessie Ware has released the latest single from her upcoming album. The song is titled ‘Ooh La La’ and is on trend with its groovy bass line and snappy vocals.
With the release comes an ’80s themed lyric video which perfectly compliments the song. This is a new sound for Ware, whose powerful vocals are usually heard over a ballad. The singer said of her new sound “I feel like these last few years I’ve had to do some exploration to figure out what I wanted to write about musically again and learn new things about myself. I’ve been yearning for that escapism, groove and maybe it’s time to say goodbye to the melancholy Jessie.”
Album details have already been announced, creating a buzz amongst fans. The album will be called ‘What’s Your Pleasure’ and is Ware’s fourth studio album. It was originally due for release on 5th June 2020, however this has been moved back a few weeks to 19th June. Ware spoke about the album, exclaiming “It feels so amazing to be back making music, so much has happened recently. Some crazy exciting things but I feel so happy to be back to my first love.”
Previous singles have been revealed over the last few months, beginning with ‘Mirage (Don’t Stop)’, followed by ‘Spotlight’, both of which have gained over 1 million plays on Spotify and amazing receptions from fans. Ware has been sharing posts by fans on her Instagram story this week, promoting her album and uplifting people during this time.
Jessie Ware released her debut album in 2012 after touring as a backing vocalist for Jack Peñate for years. The album peaked at number 5 in the UK, and Ware went on to tour the world and release three more studio albums. She is also the founder of the podcast ‘Table Manners’ on which she speaks to many friends from the music industry including Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, and Paloma Faith.
