Imagine a four hour, virtual house party playing only Oasis music. That sounds like a party we’d all want to go to, surely? Because now a second Oasis-only club night has been announced for this Friday, (April 24).
Hannah Summers and Jon Beck, the brains behind the project, debuted the first Oasis night in March, playing back-to-back Oasis songs at London’s Dingwalls. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, further dates initially set were postponed, but now an April follow-up has been confirmed.
So, for ninety minutes this Friday evening at 7.55 pm, a selection of their best work will be played. The organizers took to Instagram, and said: “After the absolute INSANITY that was the first ever Mad Fer It House Party at the start of this month and with the hangover just about cleared, we’ve decided it’s time to bring you another Oasis ONLY House Party this Friday at 8pm (UK time).”
During the last broadcast, they reached nearly 6,000 listeners. This time, they want to break 10,000. They encouraged to “click “Going” on the event page and like, comment and share with all your Oasis-loving mates.”
If this sounds right up your street, then head on over to this link to log in on the night. Jon explained what listeners could expect from the original gig in March.
“You’ll go to an indie night and hear an Oasis song or two, but it’s always going to be the same songs. ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, ‘Rock n Roll Star’ and maybe even ‘Supersonic’.” he said, describing the night as “an exciting opportunity to play those tracks you don’t hear so much.”
So, to Oasis fanatics out there, if you’re bored Friday night, you know what to do.
