Little Simz is on the move. In a tantalising set of posts, the British rapper left her fans too giddy to sleep last night by teasing the release of a new EP. Simz (real name Simbiatu Ajikawo) took to Twitter to ask her followers: “Anyone care for a little EP from your girl?”.

In a reply to the ensuing social media frenzy, Simz confirmed that the EP was indeed “incoming”, though as for the project’s release date or official title, we’ll have to wait.

Given the breakthrough success of her most recent album GREY Area, fans have every right to be foaming at the mouth for new material. Released in March 2019, Simz’s third studio album was met with immediate critical acclaim, netting the artist a Mercury Prize nomination and the Best British Album at the NME Awards last February.
In the months after GREY Area, Simz collaborated on a song by Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno as well as the Yuna single “Pink Youth“. Her most recent appearance on a track came last November, where Simz featured alongside hip hop veteran Q-Tip and Idris Elba on James BKS’ “New Breed“, though it’s been more than a year since she last released her own music.
Would we care for a little EP from our girl? Yes, Simz. The answer is yes.
