Live at Leeds Festival 2020 has been rescheduled due to COVID-19. Originally, the event was slated for May 2. However, as a result of the pandemic, organizers have had no choice but to push it back.
Live At Leeds has been rescheduled for November 28, 2020, (Saturday), across various venues in the city. Pale Waves are due to headline, with Easy Life, Coral and Shame also making appearances.
The organizers affirmed that “the health and safety of our audience, artists, staff and crew is our priority,”
The statement adds: “This is the first time in 13 years we’ve had to move Live at Leeds, and doing so brings significant challenges for the festival and the artists alike.”
“But though this virus has brought unprecedented disruption across all industries and around the world, we are determined that it won’t stop us providing you with the event we all deserve when this is over. ”
Amber Run, The Magic Cafe, Marika Hackman, and Mystery Jets were also slated to perform. However, DMA’s have had to drop out of the gig due to a conflict in schedules. Check out the full line up above.
Check the Live at Leeds festival website for further information on changes and line up alterations. The organizers have further confirmed that original tickets will remain valid for the new date. Plus, refunds are available at the point of purchase if the ticketholders cannot make the new date.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the music industry has been hit hard. Last week, Victoria Park’s All Points East canceled its 2020 show. Other events include Glastonbury 2020, Download and Isle of Wight, Snowbombing Festival and The Great Escape Festival.
Acts such as Bon Iver, Liam Gallagher, Sam Smith, and Avril Lavigne have all had to delay gigs or suspend forthcoming releases.
