‘Notes on a Conditional Form‘ is The 1975’s fourth studio album and also the second half of the ‘Music for Cars‘ era. Earlier, Matty Healy and Co introduced the era with ‘A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships‘, the third studio album released back in 2018. It became the band’s most critical acclaimed record in their discography and gained numerous accolades from notable music critics while spawning singles like “Give Yourself a Try“, “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME“, “Sincerity Is Scary“, “Love It If We Made It“, and “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not with You)“.
After dropping the third LP, Healy promised the release of its follow-up around Reading and Leeds 2019, but the album was pushed back to April 22, 2020. However, the band decided to delay the release one more time to May 22, with the promise from band manager Jamie Oborne that this project was The 1975’s “best album” to date.
The messy roll-out of the upcoming LP is not all that. There was a rumour that the “UGH!” group planned to drop “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” as a new cut off the album, but now the four-piece will premier “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America” as the latest single from the album this Friday.
In support of the new single release, the Mancunian band invites fans to send a video clip, which they will compile for their new music video. “We’d like to invite fans of The 1975 to contribute to a new video by sharing some moments from their life,” wrote the band on their social media.
