Folk duo from Dublin Hudson Taylor dropped their sophomore record Loving Everywhere I Go on February 28 via Rubyworks Records. The album is served with recent single “What Do You Mean?“, and the brothers will bring the new songs from the record on stage in four UK cities, starting on March 30. Tickets are on sale now via Live Nation.
Hudson Taylor comprises two brothers Harry and Alfie Hudson-Taylor. Originally performing and busking on the streets of their hometown in Dublin, the duo was signed to Polydor Records and released their debut album, Singing for Strangers, in 2015. The album became moderately successful, with it charting at number 24 on the UK Albums Chart and spawning well-known singles like “Battles“, “World Without You“, and “Chasing Rubies“.
After releasing the first LP, the group had toured over Europe and North America, gaining popularity for their easy-listening tunes in the styles of folk and Americana music. In 2016, they decided to depart from Polydor and were signed to an Irish independent record label, Rubyworks, a home for Irish powerhouse Hozier and Rodrigo y Gabriela.
In 2018, the Dubliners released Feel It Again, a five-track EP, as a return to music. In the same year, they also released a mini-album called Bear Creek to Dame Street, which contains live rendition of the tracks from their 2015 album and four new songs. Following the releases, they continued building their hype in the music scene by doing their sold-out headlining tours and opening for big acts like Gabrielle Aplin and Hozier.
On February 28, Hudson Taylor finally released their second studio album Loving Everywhere I Go. The album contains 14 songs, including three tracks from the Feel It Again EP and singles like “Back to You”, “What Do You Mean?” and “Where Did It All Go Wrong?“. The two, according to Hotpress, describes the album as “deeply humanist” with the title that suggests a “banner of positivity and hope”.
The “Care” duo will go on the road again in support of their recent offering. They will land in the UK shores for a four-date tour in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, and London, kicking off on March 30. Check out the dates below, and the tickets for the show go on sale now.
