Liam Payne has confirmed One Direction’s reunion which will likely happen in two years. The singer was a guest on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch where he came to promote his debut album LP1 and talked about the possibility of reuniting with his bandmates.
Amidst of promoting his album, the 26-year-old pop singer has usually been asked about his 1D days. Recently, Payne appeared at Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and was asked if the band would ever make a comeback.
“I think at some point we will get back together. I think we will, for sure,” Payne said. “I don’t know when that is yet but, all I know is there is at least two years while everyone’s just released new music where you have to go and promo and do all of that.” He also mentioned, “There are at least two years.”

It has been over four years since the band’s hiatus. All five members have released their solo music; Payne has also released his first studio album simply titled LP1. The album includes 2017’s hit “Strip That Down” and “Live Forever”, the latest single produced by American DJ trio Cheat Codes.
Payne also received strong criticism over one of album tracks “Both Ways” for bisexuality fetishism. The track is mainly about the singer luring a bisexual woman back to have fun. Since the album was released, the track have been criticised for fetishising bisexual women and using these people for having a threesome. People have been agitated by the track so much that there was “#LIAMPAYNEISOVERPARTY” trending on Twitter. Payne has not responded to the accusation.
LP1 is available now for downloading and streaming. The album is currently at number 28 on UK iTunes Albums Chart.
