Revellers at Jay-Z’s show at the 02 Arena in London on Friday were treated to a special performance from Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

While the sombre pop tracks Coldplay are famed for might not be for fans of the hip hop star, any opportunity to see two of the biggest names in music today are ones to be enjoyed. Martin joined Jay-Z towards the end of his set, lending his voice to Ain’t No Love (Heart Of The City), which you can see below. Considering it was only the sixth date of the rapper’s Magna Carter World Tour, who knows what kind of surprises Jay-Z has up his sleeve over the next three months, that will see him performing all over Europe and North America.

The surprise appearance came the day before the two of them shocked travellers on the underground, as they both opted to use public transport to get to the 02, prompting a huge reaction from those fortunate enough to be on the same carriage. It seems that the tube is quite an attraction for the stars though, as they join acts such as Rihanna, Matt Bellamy, Florence Welch and more in being spotted there.
