Foals have landed their first UK Number One album with ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2′. The landmark moment was celebrated with posts across social media. The band took to Twitter and Instagram to give thanks to their fanbases.

The image on Twitter of frontman Yannis Philippakis and drummer Jack Bevan was captioned, “The face when you get your first number 1 album!! Thank you so much to everyone who has bought records, came to shows, listened to us over all these years! It means everything to us. Big big love. Xxxxxx”

In the Instagram post Yannis said, “Hey everyone thanks so much for buying the record this week, we finally got our number 1 this week – long awaited, long deserved!”

The album was released on October 18, and has spawned the singles ‘Black Bull’, ‘The Runner’ and ‘Into The Surf’. This week, Foals announced the supporting acts for their UK Tour in 2020. They will be joined by American band Battles and Everything Everything. They also announced additional dates to their tour, playing two more nights at London’s Olympia on May 3 and 4, including Edinburgh Usher Hall on April 30 and Blackpool Empress Ballroom on May 7.

Battles however will not be performing with Foals during the final show in Cardiff on May 10.
