Standard tickets for Glastonbury 2020 ran out in a staggering 33 minutes. The infamous music event in Somerset’s Worthy Farm takes place next year from July 24 to July 28. The standard tickets for Glastonbury 2020 were put on sale at 9am on October 6, with See Tickets tweeting confirmation at 9.33am that the tickets had all been sold, as seen in the post below. Just last week, as the first set of coach package tickets went on sale for the music festival, these were sold out in less than half an hour, (27 minutes).
The 2020 line up has yet to be announced, but rumours are beginning to circulate of headlining appearances from Paul McCartney, Fleetwood Mac, Foals and Elton John.

The remainder of unwanted and unpaid coach tickets will go on sale on Thursday April 16 2020, before a main resale on Sunday 19, 2020. Those however who were fortunate enough to secure themselves tickets for next year’s five day event posted their responses across social media.

However, on the flip side, there were those unlucky in their hopes of grabbing tickets for the world famous festival, and these fans angrily took to social media, with their frustrations ranging from the ticket website’s technical issues to one user, Graham Lloyd-Roberts summarising that it’d be “easier to get into Glastonbury by learning an instrument, forming a band, going on tour, getting signed, releasing a few albums, making millions and getting invited to headline the pyramid stage. Rather than just buying tickets off that website”

The festival co-organiser, Emily Eavis, tweeted, “We have now sold out. Thank you all for your incredible, continued support. Demand was higher than ever, with over 2.4 million people registered. Bring on 2020!”
An official post by Glastonbury said. “Tickets for Glastonbury 2020 have now Sold Out. Thank you to everyone who bought one, and sorry to those who missed out. There will be a ticket resale in April – plus we’ll be announcing details of a special ballot for the sale of 50 pairs of tickets in the coming days.”

Glastonbury 2019 saw headlining performances from Stormzy, The Cure and The Killers. Other artists that took to the stage across the event included Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Liam Gallagher, Wu-Tang Clan and Lewis Capaldi.
