Elton John has announced new dates in London for his 2020 ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ Tour. Two of the nights in question will include performances at London’s 02 Arena. The tour is set to last for a staggering three years, spanning all around the globe with over 300 shows throughout North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australasia, before reaching its end in 2021. In January 2018, the singer announced his retirement from touring with the intentions of spending more time with his family, his two sons and husband David Furnish, remarking, “I’m not Cher”, adding. “This is the end.”
John said of the UK shows, which include cities Aberdeen, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds, “The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will take us to many places that have meant a lot to me over the last fifty years, but these UK shows will be incredibly special. The UK is home, and where my heart will always be.”
“To celebrate some of the incredible moments we’ve shared with my British fans over the years will be wonderful. These homecoming shows will be very emotional, and a lot of fun.”
