The Libertines have revealed that they are adding an additional date to their UK tour, this December. The London band revealed that they will be performing an extra show, in Margate, on their tour at the end of the year. The performance will see them performing a show, only minutes away from the band’s newly opened hotel, The Albion Rooms.
The London quartet will conclude their nine date UK tour, in Margate’s Winter Gardens, on Sunday the 22nd of December. Tickets go on sale on Friday the 27th of September 2019, at 10am and they can be purchased here.
The Libertines, which is made up of Peter Doherty (vocals/guitar); Carl Barât (vocals/guitar); John Hassall (bass guitar); and Gary Powell (drums), will kick start the UK leg of their tour, on the 3rd of December 2019, in Bournemouth, at the O2 Academy before heading to Leeds, Dundee, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol, and concluding on the 18th of December 2019, in London.
We’re wrapping up this year with one final show on our home turf in Margate. With The @Albion_Rooms_ open we’re feeling well and truly dug in now, so it’s time to deck the halls and haul the decks for a good winter knees-up by the sea. Tickets on sale Friday, 10am pic.twitter.com/M8c5cZKWDh

Before the quartet touch down in the UK, they will be heading across Europe throughout October and November. They will begin their eight day European leg of their tour, on the 27th of October 2019, in Paris before continuing on to Cologne, Munich, Berlin, Luxembourg, Brussels, concluding in Utrecht, on the 21st of November 2019.
The announcement comes after the band teased fans with plans for their hotel, which is a 10-room, five storey property, before revealing last year that it would be called ‘The Albion Rooms‘ and inviting fans to buy their own brick to help with the construction work. Despite some resistance from locals, the bar and recording studios opened at the end of August as part of the ‘first phase’ of the project.
Speaking, about their new HQ (The Albion Rooms), the band said in a statement; “The Waste Land will be a home for international and local artists to perform poetry / live music and exhibit art. The Upstairs bar will initially be open to the public before becoming a private bar and lounge space for the studio and residents. For The first month both bars will only be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The state of the art recording studio is available for viewing and bookings.”
Continuing, to speak about the project, Carl Barat said; “It might be a while before we challenge The Savoy or The Grand Budapest in the hotel stakes, but we’ve put a lot of love into this. Meanwhile it’s a colourful and inspiring home for the Libertines and I look forward to the Albion Rooms becoming our very own Warholian Factory.”
