Liam Gallagher has unveiled the music video for his new track, ‘One Of Us’. The music video was directed by Anthony Byrne, the director involved in the production of the fifth series of Peaky Blinders. The concept for the music video was written by Stephen Knight, who has also been involved in the critically acclaimed BBC One hit show, starring Cillian Murphy. Liam’s second solo effort, ‘Why Me, Why Not?’ is set for a release date on September 20.
Liam said of the song, “‘One of Us’ is about family, friendship and a sense of belonging. I love the groove and the gospel outro. It reminds me of The Sweet Inspirations.” Liam commented about his upcoming second album in a short statement saying, “I want the second album to be a step-up, because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that’s what we’ve done. It’s a better record than ‘As You Were’. Which is saying something, as that was epic, wasn’t it?”
Liam is set to play a number of arenas in November. Recently, in the build up toward the 12 date arena tour, Slowthai pulled out of his supporting slot alongside Gallagher. The former Oasis band member elaborated on the news through Twitter on August 23.
