Born from the ashes of the highly regarded Twister comes Big Guns, proving that there is still life in the classic rock sound that was so vibrant during the 70s and 80s.
Having already made a name for themselves across Ireland doing pub gigs, bike rallies and the occasional festival appearance, the group are now preparing for the release of their debut, set to hit stores in late November. Having originally been formed by Kieran “Twerp” McArdle on guitar and vocals and Tony Drumm on bass, they later recruited Daniel “Baldo” O’Toole on guitar and Lisa Howe to pound away at the drums, finding the line up they want to tackle to classic rock world with.
The album, aptly titled Down But Not Out, draws influence from all the bands you loved pumping your fists and banging your head to from back in the day. Judas Priest, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy and many more have all served as an inspiration and Big Guns will be aiming to have a similar effect on groups in years to come.
