London based electronic music masters “Hot Chip” have today released their new song “Melody Of Love” to the world. The band took to twitter this morning to share the single as well as announcing the huge news that they will be headlining their biggest ever homecoming show at The Alexandra Palace in London on the 26th of October.

The band describe their new single as a “song is about the importance of the transformative, non-verbal moment – ecstasy as personal happiness, but also of transcendence, of being outside oneself” & a “bombastic explosion of Technicolor pop”. This explosion is certainly reflected in the Nina Nourizadeh directed video.
According to a statement from the band the new track began life as an “a 12-minute instrumental track featuring a sample from the gospel group the Mighty Clouds Of Joy evolved into a larger-than-life pop song“. The track is expected to be the opening track of their new Album “A Bath Full Of Ecstasy” which will be delivered with a worldwide tour this autumn

Speaking of live dates Hot Chip also used today as an opportunity to announce they will be playing their biggest ever show at the iconic Alexandra Palace in their home city of London. The gig was announced following the success of the bands awe-inspiring performance at All Points East Festival Last week where amongst other tracks they performance an incredible cover of The Beastie Boy’s. Tickets for the August the 26th show go on sale this Friday.
