Yesterday, Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala announced UK tour dates for this year on their social media.
The band, masterminded by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, are expected to release their fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Currents’, in 2019. The dates announced include a massive show in London’s O2 Arena as well as gigs in Blackpool and Dublin.

8/6/19 – O2 Arena – London
24/6 – Empress Ballroom – Blackpool
26/6 – 3Arena – Dublin
Although no firm news about their latest album has been released, the band have released a new single entitled ‘Patience’ which can be listened to below.
The band also premiered that track as well as the unreleased ‘Borderline’ last month on SNL. The performance of ‘Borderline’ can be seen below.
Tame Impala are also set to headline Coachella in California this weekend, a first for the band. As well as Coachella, the band will also embark on a US tour as well as appearing at other festivals around the world such as Festival Corona Capital in Mexico, Primavera Sound in Spain and Glastonbury in the UK.
The band will hope to match or better the commercial success of 2015’s ‘Currents’ which got to number 4 on the US Billboard 200 and number 3 in the UK Album Chart. The album did get to number 1 in the band’s native country of Australia.
