The first official footage of the new Liam Gallagher documentary has been revealed. A trailer for ‘As It Was’ dropped today and can be seen below.

The film is set to arrive on screen on June 7th, and it documents Gallagher’s last headline tour following the release of his longly-anticipated solo album ‘As You Were’ which was released in October of 2017. The former Oasis and Beady Eye frontman gave filmmakers unprecedented access to both on and back stage during this comeback tour.

The synopsis describes the film as telling, “the honest and emotional story of how one of the most electrifying rock’n’roll frontmen went from the dizzying heights of his champagne supernova years in Oasis to living on the edge, ostracised and lost in the musical wilderness of booze, notoriety and bitter legal battles. Starting again alone, stripped bare and with nowhere to hide, Liam risks everything to make the greatest comeback of all time. The clip shows Liam before and during a gig in Manchester in December 2017 and his voiceover stating, “I’m not doing this to be more famous, I’m fucking famous enough – you know what I mean. I’m not doing it for the money. I joined a band because I love music. I know how fucking great I am, and I know how shit I am.”

Not letting the bastards get you down when all the bastards who have been sitting there over the last 10 years ‘Ah, he’s definitely going to be dead now, he’s going to blow his fucking brains out or have a drug overdose’. They’ve got all those press headlines waiting, but I don’t think it’s gonna happen lads. I’m gonna stick it out.”

As well as the new documentary, the controversial frontman is also set to release his second solo album this year, as well as making a festival appearance at Glastonbury.
