The Oxford quartet have released a new video for the track Only, taken from upcoming E.P Heir.
The new wave meets alternative dance meets post-punk (think New Order with a slow house beat over it) have certainly had a busy year. Having only started in late 2012, this year has already seen the release of Child, a four track E.P featuring tracks such as Ritual and Stay which hit our speakers in February, MMX have wasted no time in getting new material out for their fans, and what better time to do so then before their debut at the Reading and Leeds festivals this coming weekend.
The video for Only takes place in a scarce wasteland, and shows in reverse a couple, who seemingly should not be meeting each other. It is yet another arty video from the group, who continue to expand with listeners enjoying some different and thoroughly unique music, far different to anything you are likely to hear in the charts these days.
MMX open the Festival Republic stage at Reading on the Friday and at Leeds on the Saturday. It’ll be early, but so incredibly worth it. You can pre-order Heir, which comes out on the 3rd of September, on iTunes. Finally, check out the video for Only below.
