Manchester guitar-pop collective, Larkins have today (February 19) release their brand new single, ‘TV Dream’. The release comes ahead of their recent announcement that the Manchester quartet will be hitting the road, this year, on their headline tour, with shows across the UK.
Speaking about the single, ‘TV Dream’, Larkins frontman Josh Noble said: “‘TV Dream’ was inspired by my grandparents; the idea that romance and dancing has lost its appeal and vigour from what it used to be. Instead, when we turn on the TV we see these visions of gender inequality, and blaming sexism on the way people dress. I loved combining such a blissful story of romance with a more serious tone of being influenced by the modern media.”
The quartet, made up of frontman Josh Noble – vocals & guitar, Dom Want – Guitar, Henry Beach – Bass, and Joe Stott – Drums, released their debut EP, ‘Don’t Leave The Light On’, in 2016. On the back of a 12-date tour, last year, the band are hitting the road again, this month, and will play four headline dates across the UK.
The quartet, will kick start their four-date headline tour, at The Garage, in Glasgow, on the 23 of February 2019, concluding with a huge defining hometown show at, the 2000-capacity, Albert Hall, in Manchester on the 2nd of March 2019. The four-date headline tour will see the band heading to Leeds and Nottingham, as well as Glasgow and Manchester.
