The line-up for TRNSMT Festival 2019 has been announced today (February 18), and it includes some of todays most hottest artists. Leading the names are Stormzy, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and George Ezra, who have all been revealed as headliners for the festival. The festival will be returning to Glasgow Green between the 12th and 14th of July 2019. Tickets for TRNSMT go on sale, on Friday the 22nd of February 2019, and will be available to purchase here.
The festival teased the line-up earlier today (February 18) with a Facebook live feed that allowed fans to piece together the line-up via cryptic song lyrics. However, all has been revealed tonight, at 5pm. Joining the festival headliners across the three day will be Snow Patrol, Gerry Cinnamon, Bastille, Richard Ashcroft, Sigrid, Jess Glynne, Years & Years, The Kooks, The Wombats, Tom Grennan, The Amazons, and many more.
Speaking about the line-up, TRNSMT boss, Geoff Ellis said: “Having Stormzy as the headliner, we wanted to make sure that on the Friday we had a lot of rap, hip-hop and Grime. It’s a real coup to have both Stormzy and Gerry Cinnamon. Gerry is arguably is arguably the biggest band on the bill at that day, he can sell out a lot of venues at this point in time. Two years ago he was opening up the King Tut’s stage at TRNSMT.
“The two of them sit well together as well. Though they’re different musically, the synergy around the fact that they’re both people’s poets and from the streets and connect with real people. They’re both disrupters, they don’t follow the traditional paths that they’re meant to follow as an artist.”
Among the other names announced is AJ Tracey, Fredo, Amine, Mabel, Gus Dapperton, Example, Mist, Mahalia, Jimothy, The Big Moon, Cassia, and Kobi Onyame. The following acts are also on the bill and will be joining the already stellar line-up are DMA’s, Sundara Karma, The Snuts, Sam Fender, The Hunna, Steve Mason, Jade Bird, Fontaines D.C, Cavetown, The Dunts, Arkells, Skinnt Lister, Circa Waves, Mystery Jets, SWMRS, Catherine McGrath, Sea Girls, Retro Video Club, and WhenYoung.

Last year’s event saw the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Liam Gallagher, and Queen+Adam Lambert play the festival. Last year’s festival also saw a larger line-up than this year. “Some people have asked why it’s only one weekend this year, but that’s not to say that it won’t be two weekends in the future, but we base that really on the availability of artists. Last year there were a lot of artists around to make it work over two weekends – next year, who knows,” says Ellis, about the size of the line-up.
