King Krule, aka 18 year-old Archy Marshall, has released details of his debut album Six Feet Beneath The Moon. The 14 track record is set for release on August 24th, Marshall’s 19th birthday.
After cancelling 6 dates this April, the teen stated on his Facebook page “I just need a bit of time out so I can get the record finished and come back strong in the summer”.
The adolescent troubadour has received critical acclaim this year and was included in the BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll. The husky voiced teen made his first Glastonbury appearance on the Park stage this year and is set for a string of UK and European festival dates this summer including appearances at MELT Festival, Parklife and Wilderness Festival.
Despite being only 18 years-old, the former Brit School student has been releasing material since 2010 under “Zoo Kid”. His first release Out Getting Ribs, received much critical praise and now has over a million views on YouTube, a track which is set to feature on the August release.
The South Londoner featured in Radio 1’s Future Festival in January this year and has used the station as an outlet to debut his new material. Marshall gave fans a taste of his debut album this week with new single Easy Easy, along with an artistic new video with him painting the letters ‘E Z’ over his debut album artwork.
